Parents; What would you do if you discovered that your teenage daughter cuts herself?

If you found out that your 14 year old daughter has been cutting herself for almost three years?





Also, she feels the need to cut because she can't handle the pressure and she doesn't believe she is good enough. But she also doesn't help around the house and has horrible grades.

therapy or have her read my quesiton and realize her life could be like mine (i obviously dont know if it is but im jsut saying)

Counseling/therapy, period.


Do not try to handle it all by yourself, it is bigger than you can imagine.
I wouldn't feel upset or sad, these kind of things happen to innocent people everyday. My cousin who was my best friend died from anorexia, so psychological disorders really do have a toll. THe only thing you can do is force her into treatment. THe longer it goes on the harder it will be. Good luck
I would get her into some counseling or send her to a rehab center. There is something definitely wrong to make her do this to herself and she needs to get some help to get back on track.
