I want to go Orlando with my parents sometime soon. I have a question for you. Why did 9/11 happen? What airline is safe and can take me and my parents to Orlando Florida from Charlotte North Carolina? I am 16 years old and I too scared to fly after 9/11. Am I allowed to take a laptop, cd player, and a nintendo DS onboard the plane? I been to Orlando once when I was 8 years old and now I wanted to go back to Orlando. What things can I pack in my bookbag that has my Star Wars keychain on it? I am too scared to fly and I flew to Baltimore this year and I was soo scared! Should I take a book with me? Do I need a photo ID? I will ask my parents to go with me to Orlando soon so I will not be scared. What should I do to keep me calm? I am too scared to fly again after September 11, 2001! The airport is CLT and me and my parents had to fly into MCO. How many hours will I be on the airplane? I am too scared to fly. Peace, jedisara29What airline can take me and my parents to Orlando Florida from Charlottle North Carolina?
I know that USAirways flies direct from Charlotte to Orlando. Charlotte is a USAirways hub so they are the dominant carrier in Charlotte. If Air Tran flies out of Charlotte, they may be another option. Not sure if Southwest flies out of Charlotte. You can try them also. All 3 airlines mentioned are extremely safe.
9/11 and terrorism in general is just a way to try to bully us into meeting some demand by those who are committing the acts. Their purpose is to try to scare us and make us live in fear. The best way to fight this is to not change the way you are living and to be more alert, especially if you see unusual activity.
I recommend the less you bring with you the better. But CD players, laptops and Nintendos should be allowed. Don't bring bottled water, toothpaste or liquid of any kind. Even make-up and lipstick are not permitted.
Just remember that flying is the safest form of transportation. You are more likely to die in a car accident than an airplane accident. Airplane accidents always make the news because they are so rare. Plus they say the chances of surviving an airplane accident are pretty high. Aircraft are made with pretty strong material and can withstand a bomb blast.
I would recommend bringing a book or reading the inflight magazine to occupy your time. Definitely bring I.D. with you. If you are flying with your parents, you can talk to them. Talking sometimes will help calm your fears. You can also try to sleep through the flight.
As for the flight-time, I would say it should only take between 1 1/2 -2 1/2 hours to get from Charlotte to Orlando.
Hope you get over your fear. Just think about all the fun you will have in Orlando. If you really cannot take it, then drive. What airline can take me and my parents to Orlando Florida from Charlottle North Carolina?
US Airways %26amp; Airtran
Go to priceline.com and you get all airlines and best available that fly to and from and destination of your choice. It seems that terrorist usually target American Airlines, United, Continental, and delta. I would recommend that you fly with some of the lesser known, low key carriers like Southwest or Us Air.
The answer to your principal question can easily be found by using Expedia, Orbitz, or similar internet marketers. The flight between Orlando and Charlotte will take about two hours, so bring a book. You will need a photo ID issued by some government agency; I have occasionally used my Saudi Arabian driver's license for this, to the amusement of the clerks. (Fortunately for them, the information on the back is in English.) As for being scared, think about what it is that you are frightened of. Airplanes have been flying for a long time, and commercial aviation is about the safest way to get anywhere.

How do I lose weight, without my parents knowing about it?
I'm 14 years old, 5'7, and 136 pounds and I think I'm ready to lose some of that winter weight. Any tips on how I could do this without going on a diet and without my parents being involved or knowing? I'm very flabby around the stomach and hip area so any workout's you know that specifically target those areas would really help. Thank-you!How do I lose weight, without my parents knowing about it?
Your BMI has been calculated as 20.72 using a height of 5' 7'; and a weight of 9 stones 7.00lbs . (156lbs) or 61.36 kilo.
Your BMI suggests you are a healthy weight for your height
You are at least risk of developing weight-related medical problems. Your health may not necessarily benefit from further weight loss. It is important not to aim to go below this range.
If you want to tone up go and see you school fitness instructor I am sure He/she will be glad to help. How do I lose weight, without my parents knowing about it?
you dont need to loose weight, your fine, or go on a diet, to get a toned stomach just do crunches
Your parents will notice if you lose weight.
You need to eat healthier and workout.
i dont think you need to lose weight but if you really want to lose weight without letting your parents know i would recommend you do sit-ups it really helps my belly to get better and not as flabby and maybe do some these really help your belly if belly flab is your problem and maybe push ups but there really hard i carn't even do them but if you can they really do help
You sound pretty normal, but if you wish to become more active and fit, that's always ok. Apparently they know most of what you eat, so that's good, it's probably pretty healthy! You shouldn't cut back on regular food..you're probably still growing and need it, but if you drink sodas and snack on little debbies you might stop that. Any exercises you do will be good for you..do something you enjoy! Or just go play...that's what I did when I was that age..jump rope, basketball, tag........stay away from TV to excess, you're not just sitting still, it actually has an effect on your heart rate and breathing.
At your height, you don't need to lose much weight. Most people at 5'7 should be around that weight, but the flabby areas might signify that you have a higher percentage of fat than muscle weight. Muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space.
In that case, you can lose about 5 lbs or so by making tiny changes in your food habits. Instead of dieting, try exchanging junk foods for healthier ones. At the same time, you need to be doing weight lifting and resistance exercises to gain muscle, which will help you stay at a healthy weight without looking flabby.
You can look these up online.
Try these type exercises for 30 minutes to an hour, 3 times a week.
Hope this weight loss site can help you.skin

What does it mean when a birth parent revokes their consent to adoption?
If a birth parent does revoke the consent after the waiting time is up but before the adoption is finalized, what does that mean for the adoption? Does everyone go into a custody battle over the child, or does the birth parent get the baby back? The Tennessee Law is just not easy for me to understand Thanks for your help. What does it mean when a birth parent revokes their consent to adoption?
It means that the first parents have decided to parent their child, and the prospective adoptive parents must immediately return the child to the first parents. What does it mean when a birth parent revokes their consent to adoption?
The biological parents can no longer legally revoke consent once the revocation period is past-- that's the whole point of the revocation period. (Though they can still contest the adoption if it was illegal or fraudulent; they just can't change their minds after that point without some legal basis for why their consent wasn't obtained properly.)
Once the biological parents have terminated their own rights, they can't just decide to take the baby back even if the adoption isn't finalized, because they themselves have already relinquished the legal ability to say what should happen to the child. At that point the decisions are in the hands of the prospective adoptive parents, judge, and sometimes agency. Once the biological parents have given up their own parental rights, they no longer have the ability to exercise those rights, regardless of the status of the adoption process for the other parties.
The only time during which the biological parents changing their mind has any legal sway is before the revocation period is up. After that, it has no legal bearing on the situation.
It by no means means that the adoptive parents have to give the baby back immediately, if the birth parents time is up. Every state is different and it will be up to the court on what happens once the consent is revoked. In TN the birth parents have the following rights.
-For any reason if revocation occurs within 10 days and a judge is present
-After 10 days, if court finds reasons why the adoption should not go forward and court has not issued order confirming parental consent
-Upon finding of clear and convincing evidence of fraud, misrepresentation, or duress
it means the adoption is not going to happen and the first parents want to raise their child.
The adoption cannot be finalized before the revocation period is up. Until she signs away her rights, shecan change her mind and the adoption will not happen.
I think it is up to the judge(s).
The biological mother's lawyer will likely file to have the original agreement put aside. Each party would then present their case and the judge would decide if the adoption should be stopped or proceed.
first the parental rights are terminated and there is a waiting period before adoption can occur. Once the waiting period is up, then its too late. Rights were already terminated.
Yes the parent does get their child back if the adoption isn't finalized.
If the appeal time is over the adoption proceeds. The birth parent does NOT get the child back.
If her time to change her mind is up then more than likley to late and the Adoptive parents keep the child.

Can a blue eyed parent and a green eyed parent produce a child with brownish green eyes?
in humans are brown eyes necessarily dominant over blue eyes/green eyes or can they be a recessive gene in some cases?
oh and no, illegitimacy is not a issue. This person has way to much of a resemblance to the father. Can a blue eyed parent and a green eyed parent produce a child with brownish green eyes?
It is a fallacy that two blue eyed people cannot have a brown eyed child. The reason why, brown eyes are dominant so if a blue eyed person has any recessive brown eyed genes they are very weak. However you combine the two weak recessive genes from both parents and they can produce that trait in the children. In other words, if both of the blue eyed parents each had a brown eyed parent, there is a very good likelihood of their having a brown eyed child. I have seen this and like you state there is no illegimacy at issue.
Quite normally a product of a blue eyed, brown eyed marriage will be hazel eyed. My father had sky blue eyes and he had a brown eyed mother. Can a blue eyed parent and a green eyed parent produce a child with brownish green eyes?
My dad has hazel/more green eyes and my mum has blue/more green eyes and I have light light blue/green/gray and my brothers eyes are light blue/gray....so Idk anything can happen.
Brown eyes often make blue...
I think so......but I do know that 2 blue-eyed people can only have a blue-eyed child.
Yes, they can.
It's not as simple as the biology books present it.
For one thing, brown eyes and green eyes are basically the same thing. For another, I went to I went to school a classmate who had one blue eye and one green/brown eye. (The clerk at the DMV was discombobulated when she had to enter eye color into a form with too few options.)
That is absolutely possible. The only positive in eye colour is that two purely brown eyed parents will not have a blue eyed child. But brown eyes are both recessive and dominant and can show up in any child.
it goes back thru the family tree, grandparents, great grandparents etc
Yes they most absolutely can.

In the most simple explanation of genetics, it would appear that it is impossible for two blue eyed parents to produce a brown eyed child. But as this website explains, there's a lot of complexities involved in genetics, that aren't necessarily taught in the classroom.
Sure.
You have to take into account both parents' own genetic history.
Eye color is determined by several factors.
yeah, it's possible.
It came from the green-eyed side. I'm not completely sure of the details but green eyes (and hazel eyes too) are like a minimum color version of brown eyes. Brown eyes with a low concentration of color pigment.
I'm not sure, but i thought i would put in that my eyes were blue as a baby, but they are light brown with a little green. colors of eyes can change as a child gets older
Yes, it's possible.
A child can have any eye color as long as both parents at least have that color as a recessive gene.
So even two brown eyed parents could have a child, it is also the same with hair; two brown haired parents could have a child with red hair but again, as long as both parents have at least the recessive gene.

Is foster parenting a paying job?
If someone wanted to be a foster parent, do they get paid extra to watch the kids or do they have to get a second job?Is foster parenting a paying job?
They DO NOT get paid directly. But they do get enough money from the state to take care of the kids. And to be totally truth-full MANY MANY MANY of these people live very nicely. I honestly suspect that the money they get is NOT always used for the kids.Is foster parenting a paying job?
They get paid a minimum amount. People shouldnt be a foster parent for the money, they should do it for the child. Most children are in foster care because someone didnt want them.
People need to think of the children not the money!!
I heard that you get paid for ';expenses'; in the UK, like two hundred pound a month so you'd have to work still i'm afraid!

Parent involvement begins at home. Watch Nanny 911 for some great tips.Any1 work for Head start know their parent involement program?
I don't work for head start but my child goes to head start. you are required to spend so much time working on home work and in class time with your child . Parent involvement is critical to the development of young children as well as the head start program.
The main responsibilities for head start parents include:
鈥?Attending Parent Orientation, held in August without preschoolers, where you鈥檒l have a chance to meet
the staff and learn what to expect for the coming year. Class lists will be distributed at this time.
鈥?Working a minimum of once a month in the classroom.
鈥?Attending parent and family activities.
鈥?Being available for two home visits and two parent/teacher conferences. (The first home visit will be
arranged at Parent Orientation, and will occur in early September. This gives the new student a chance
to meet their teacher before school begins, and for you to ask any questions and take care of any last
paperwork.)

How do I communicate better with my parents and grandparents?
I live in Singapore and my grandparents live in USA so we talk through Skype every night. Hence, we do not talk much. My parents stay with me in the same house. Sometimes during car rides we do not even exchange a single sentence. How can I solve this? Please do not tell me ';try to communicate more with them'; or another sentence as brief as that. Please explain how do I do that. Thanks in advance. How do I communicate better with my parents and grandparents?
wow. that's tough. maybe sit down with them and ask them if you do something to make them angry and not want to talk to you. if their not angry just explain to them that you feel that you never talk to each other and you want to change that because you love them and want to be able to talk to them but it's hard if your the only one making an effort to do thatHow do I communicate better with my parents and grandparents?
Ask open-ended questions. If they try giving a yes/no answer, ask why and take the opposing side. Debates usually get people talking if they feel strongly enough about something.
first u talk and make them to talk it may be boring for them but u don't give up talk some thing about movies, friends, relatives after some days they will also start talking it works
